The Project

What I want my final product to be is a desktop background available to download for people to use. Issues that I have to think about whilst analysing is what device people would use it on, a phone, a tablet, a square monitor or a normal monitor, a 4k monitor there are a lot of issues with this as I would have to make a different wallpaper for mobile phones this wouldn’t be too difficult as I could scale it down and adapt it to fit onto a regular phone screen as they mostly all use the same aspect ratio except most of the new phones which use a larger aspect ratio but it wont be a massive issue to over come it would just mean making another image but a bit taller.

I would have to use a few colours as I want it to be themed around space so I would need to use colours like purple, grey, blue and green. I really want the planets and other things to stand out as they will catch the eye and really make the piece pop. So the colours will be really important as each planet that I want will have 2-3 colours and at least one of the colours will stand out and make that planet pop out and be unique. none of the planets will look like copy and pastes they will all have unique colours and patterns. I have a really unique style in mind for my project. I also want some spaceships in the project so I would have to add flames from the rocket which would add a lot of colour to the image like reds and oranges it would also fill in a lot of space in the project

I’ll have the affinity project exported in png format as it’s the most suitable for the image and I don’t really need any other because all devices that it’ll be used on will work and I want to keep as high a quality as possible so I won’t use jpg’s as they aren’t as high a quality as png’s. So I won’t have an issue with what format to use on the wallpaper

Theres no specific client that I’m going to be working for it’s to solve the problem of someone who is just looking for a unique background that isn’t harsh on the eyes and just looks good and they can enjoy I really think what I have in mind will fix that problem for those who want a wallpaper about space. I’ll upload the final project onto different image sharing sites so that people can see it and can spread the image about so I  can get as much feedback as possible.

I have a unique style in mind from looking at other backgrounds which is rounded lines and very simplistic it looks really nice and would know how to do it in affinity designer by using the pen tool to make columns and join it together then making the stroke thicker and using the corner tool to make all the square edges into round ones making the desired effect. I think it will look really good. I’m not going to be using any fonts or writing on the project because a it’s not the type of wallpaper that really needs text so it’s better off left without words and purely based off looks

The issue that I’m really trying to solve is that if someone wants a new wallpaper for their phone or computer desktop I feel like it will appeal to a wide audience as from personal experience I’m always changing my wallpaper on my phone and if theres anyone like me I feel like they could look at what I’ve made and be happy with it so even I’m going to use this wallpaper so it solves the problem for me so to fix it for “everyone” I will post it to different websites and other places just to spread the wallpaper for other people to use.
