The book starts off with a video of a rocket launch and on the next page is the first chapter called studying space. The book consists of 6 chapters 1 of them being credits they all consist of the same format which is giving small amounts of information using galleries and slideshows to give information. It uses image galleries to show ancient observatories and space related sites. The book repeats like this throughout but mixing in 3d models and slideshows to give information. the pros about this book is that it’s easy for children to keep interested as it uses small amounts of information makes you interact with the 3d models and slideshows. The cons is that it feels like you could only read it once as theres not much going for it that wants you to go back and it feels a bit outdated with it looking like an older style book it could do with updating to fit with modern devices. The usability is perfect for anyone kids, adults and even older people who might struggle with phones and tablets as it only requires one to two taps to navigate the book and to look at the 3d models you only have to slide your finger to spin it around.
Social Media
Social media is one of the biggest forms of interactive media and almost everyone uses it. Social media allows people to interact with each other, watch content, play games and some other stuff. It is a great thing for people to be able to interact with each other but one of the many cons with social media is that they like to take your data and keep it without you knowing another con with social media is that it’s very easy for a stranger to find you and contact you which could end really well or really badly and if you display your contact information like you can on Facebook it could allow them to get your phone number and other important details about yourself. Another con with social media is someone can take your pictures and information and pretend to be you which could ruin job opportunities and relationships with friends. The pros to social media is that anyone can find an old friend or keep in contact with current ones and with family or friends who have moved away to another country or the other side of the country. It also allows for people to gain access to news (depends on who and where it comes from you can never be too sure).
Games
Video games are one of the most interactive forms of media as you control almost everything about the game. It allows you to follow a story or play online with your friends and mess around without a goal. Some games let you control the story that is happening the most popular of these are the walking dead telltale games as you can control what happens inside of the story and will effect what happens. some games you can just follow a preset story with only one outcome but have full control on how you finish them. A really interactive form of video games are vr as it feels like you are inside of the game and is fully 3d and most vr headset have controllers that make it feel like you have hands in the game picking up items. Pros to video games are that you can have full interaction with the product. another pro is that you can play some games with your friends which can be loads of fun. Cons to video games are that they are limited to age (if you stick to that) so it means accessibility is limited. Another con is that some video games are very expensive limiting accessibility again as some people might not be able to afford certain games they want but there are some good free mobile games and the biggest game at the moment is free to play
