Whilst creating the website I was mostly at home and forgot to take screenshots of the creation because I was on windows and I don’t have anywhere to paste my print screens of my site but so it will be really difficult to describe what was going on
I started the website but finding a photo that worked for the background it had to be a high enough resolution so it didn’t look blurry. I managed to find the perfect one on google by searching around using different words in the image search. it was quite difficult to find images of loads of sweets together that were of a high enough resolution and didn’t have a watermark from shutter-stock or other stock image sites all the images that I found that didn’t work (resolution was too low) I just used in a smaller form for another part of the website like the chocolate bars in the box that says Reviews! it was a good image but it was too blurry to use as the background
I wanted a really colourful fun website but was still useful. I added the long bars to break up the background and foreground and so I had somewhere to place my text without it conflicting with the background. It also helped make the page look a lot more full. The background is very jarring when there isn’t a lot on the screen and doesn’t look very good so it’s good to have a more than one piece of something on the screen.
Making the website went really smooth and had no issues whatsoever everything on wix is really easy to use and find. To make it even easier wix has an appstore where you can find more ways to make your site interactable and a whole page in the add section all about adding interactable bits to the website.
I thought this was really helpful as I couldn’t think of ways of making the website interactable so I added slideshows and these circles that you could hover over and would reveal something new there were some really good features inside of that tab
The final website I’m really happy with I had no issues other than timing with the product as it took longer than I expected to finish but overall I’m glad with how it looks and feels it’s smooth with no hiccups or glaring issues. I double checked all the spelling so that there are no issues and looks professional
