Reflection

I think overall the project went really well but there were things I could have defiantly improved on. The thing I could’ve improved on the most was my speed as I kept taking breaks and doing nothing for ages and it was slowing me down a lot but I did manage to finish the project by using my time in college and at home. Another thing I could’ve improved on was my primary research as I didn’t do a lot because the leaflet was all based off facts and not peoples opinions it will definitely impact on my grade but I can’t do much at this point now anyway so It” have to do. I’m really pleased with the final outcome of the project it looks exactly how I want it to and almost exactly what I had planned in my head. I would change a few things about it now like I would have moved the comet so it didn’t blend in with the background and would look even more like how it was intended to look. My skills inside of Photoshop really expanded during this project as I watched tutorials and experimented around with different features what really helped was making the background as it showed me many different ways of using the features to make one thing. I had fun making the project as well as I could do pretty much anything I wanted to so I picked space because we had the theme of hidden and I thought that because we can’t see the other planets and their features and things about them that they’re hidden and it gave me the idea of talking about the moons of the planets because I have never heard anyone talk about them so I thought it was perfect. I also linked it with a company so I chose Spaceport in Liverpool as they do a lot of limited time exhibitions and I thought I could come up with one and link my leaflet into promoting the new exhibition and it actually worked really well according to the feedback of some of the people I asked. This shows me that people would be interested in learning about moons and visiting my made up attraction. I wish I had managed the space better as I would have been able to fit more onto the page and made it more interesting with small bits of details but that would have just delayed me even more and I probably wouldn’t have finished on time so maybe if I do something similar in another project i can fill it out a bit better and manage the space that I have to work with. I would really like to make another information booklet style of thing in the future as I enjoyed gathering the research off the internet and finding new stuff out for myself it was a good experience if I would make another one I would probably do it about something not millions of miles away and keep it possibly local or to do with the world. I would put more information into it as well and make it a bit longer as I know what i’m doing now and know how to manage my time better. I learnt that I need to be more careful when I’m typing because I clearly make a lot of spelling mistakes and miss out words so I would need to slow down on typing and double check every couple of sentences just so I don’t make silly mistakes.

Feedback

The feedback from my final design was good and helped me decide whether or not to change anything it also showed me some errors that I had made so I changed them and now I hope that everything is sorted out and looks like it should do with no spelling errors and I tidied it up a bit and moved some stuff slightly to make it look better. So it shows that my product is convincing and well made. I also got some feedback from home and my Dad said I needed to fix some of the spelling errors as well so they were quite clearly obvious so I’m glad I went back and changed them.
